The Tensas Parish School Board recognized the 2025–2026 Students of the Year during its Feb. 12 meeting. Honorees were 12th grade student of the Year Kamryn Haywood, eighth grade student of the year Jayla Bass and fifth grade student of the year Aiden Martin. Bass and Martin received their awards during the meeting, where parents, relatives and friends gathered to celebrate the students. Tensas Elementary Principal Sharon Robinson and Tensas High Principal Dr. Mateo Lopez presented the plaques.
