CASA of Northeast Louisiana is proud to wel‑come its newest volunteer advocate in the 6th Judicial District, Kimberly Rogers, who was recently sworn in by Judge Laurie Brister.
The 6th JDC serves East Carroll, Madison, and Tensas parishes, where gaining new volunteers is both vital and challeng‑ing -- making Kimberly’s commitment especially meaningful for the children in this rural region.
Kimberly will soon begin serving her first CASA child, offering the steady support and advo‑cacy that can change the course of a young person’s life. CASA of Northeast Louisiana expressed deep gratitude for her willing‑ness to step forward, noting that every new advocate strengthens the safety net for children in foster care.
For Kimberly, the deci‑sion came from a place of compassion and calling.
“So many children need our help, and these children didn’t ask for the problems that caused them to be in foster care,” she shared. “What it boils down to is they need help, and God gives us a purpose. I’ve always had a soft spot for children of all ages, and God has blessed me to be able to help. It’s truly a blessing for me.”
CASA of Northeast Louisiana continues to seek volunteers across the region and hopes to welcome five new advocates in February. Anyone interested in learning more or requesting an application can email [email protected].
With advocates like Kimberly Rogers stepping forward, hope grows stronger for the children who need it most.
